Q: What is Physical Therapy?
A: Physical Therapists provide services to patients/clients who have impairments, functional limitations, disabilities, or changes in physical function and health status resulting from injury, disease, or other causes.
Q: Do I need to see a physician before coming to you?
A: Patients with Medicare coverage and certain insurance plans are currently required to see a physician before beginning physical therapy. Feel free to call our office if you are unsure about your requirement.
Q: Will my insurance company cover Physical Therapy?
A: Most of today’s insurance plans cover physical therapy.
Q: Will my insurance carrier cover Therapy at your clinic?
A: MasterCare Physical Therapy accepts Medicare and most plans.
Q: How much will I owe for my sessions?
A: Our staff will help you determine if there is a payment or co-payment requirement.
Q: What if I can’t afford to pay at the sessions?
A: Financial arrangements can be made.
Q: How is billing for the services handled?
A: As a courtesy, we bill your insurance company for you. Co-payments are paid at the time of service by cash, check or credit card.

A: First, you will receive a full evaluation. Then we’ll explain your rehabilitation plan and goals and answer any questions you may have.

A: Please bring your insurance card, driver’s license, the prescription from your physician if you have one, a list of your medications and any other information you think is relevant.
Q: How long are the appointments?
A: Appointments vary in length, between 45-60 minutes, depending on your treatment plan.

A: Therapy typically takes several weeks. We work closely with you and your doctor to develop your plan and monitor your progress.

Q: Can I get an appointment immediately?
A: Yes. Your first appointment will be scheduled within 24 hours.
Q: What should I bring to wear to therapy?
A: Comfortable clothes you can move around in. Pants, sweat suits, sweatshirts, t-shirts, and socks are appropriate. Also, don’t forget to bring a comfortable pair of sneakers or walking shoes. Private rooms are available if you need to wear a gown for treatment.
Q: How much therapy do I receive?
A: Typical programs call for treatment up to three times a week for four weeks, but will be determined for you according to your rehabilitation plan.
